Katherine Ferwerda is a multi-disciplinary artist, producer, and environmentalist with an MFA in Production Design (UCSD) and an MA in Immersive Storytelling (ASU). An award-winning theatrical designer (Garland, Dramalogue, LA Weekly), she has art-directed commercials and produced major events for brands like Nike, Microsoft, and CAA.
For nine years, she owned Social Study, a venue focused on sustainable living and community workshops. Certified in Sustainable Building Advising (2010) and Permaculture Design (2024), Katherine previously served on the producing team for the 2025 Future Green Leaders Summit via USGBC-CA’s Green Building Corps program.
