The Venue

Woodbury University is founded in 1884 with initial campuses in Downtown and Central Los Angeles, one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Southern California. The university consists of four schools: the School of Business, the School of Architecture, the School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Media Culture & Design. It has been a subsidiary of University of Redlands since 2024.

In partnership with Emergent, a group of architecture students built Los Angeles’ first fully 3D-printed net-zero energy house. Also, the walls of the 40-square-meter house were constructed in just 15 hours with the use of COBOD International’s BOD2 construction 3D printer.

The Southern California Regional Energy Network is administered by the County of Los Angeles and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
